'' Those employed in IT or a related industry, such as finance, who wish to gain a higher education qualification in e-business. It will incorporate and develop aspects of your role in the workplace and give you the opportunity to progress to an honours degree.
Entry Requirements:
You should have industrial experience and be employed in a relevant field. You should have a relevant Level 3 qualification, however, mature students with previous experience in a relevant field will be considered
About the course
Over the two years you will cover the following core modules whilst building on skills and knowledge you have gained from your workplace: computer systems fundamentals, systems analysis and design, introduction to programming, project, professional skills, information and project management. You will also study for vendor qualifications such as Cisco, Microsoft, COMPTIA and Oracle. If you choose the Network Specialist Route you will study networking basics, network software, WAN basics, network design and implementation, WAN design and implementation, and network environment management. If you choose the web specialist route, you will study website management, introduction to website development, introduction to multimedia production, understanding information, advanced website development and production, and e-commerce applications.
