'' EFL (English as a Foreign Language) with Cambridge ESOL enables you to work towards a range of internationally recognised Cambridge ESOL qualifications at 5 levels, from elementary to proficiency. This course is studied for 3 hours per week in combination with an EFL General English course.
Who Is This Course For? Students who wish to gain an internationally recognised qualification in English language.
Entry Requirements: You do not need previous language qualifications. You will be given a placement test as part of your General English course and we will advise you on the appropriate examination class. About the course You will study for 3 hours per week and work towards a range of internationally recognised Cambridge ESOL qualifications at 5 levels, from elementary to proficiency. You will be expected to buy a course book for this course which will cost approximately £15-25, and you will need to pay an exam fee of approx £35-£80, depending on the level. This course must be studied in combination with a General English course. The course levels are as follows: Elementary �Key English Test (KET). This course improves your ability to deal with basic written and spoken communications. Intermediate �Preliminary English Test (PET). This course develops your ability to cope with everyday written and spoken communications. Upper Immediate �First Certificate in English (FCE). This course is ideal if you can deal confidently with a range of written and spoken communications. Advanced Level �Certificate in Advanced English (CAE). This course is for students who can communicate with confidence in English for work or study purposes. Very Advanced Level: Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE). This course is for students who have achieved a high level of language skills and are able to function effectively in almost any English-speaking context.
Additional Opportunities There are no trips or visits on this course.
How will I be assessed? You will sit the appropriate Cambridge ESOL exam for your level of English: Elementary (KET), Intermediate (PET), Upper Immediate (FCE), Advanced Level (CAE), or Very Advanced Level (CPE).
