Course Description:
'' You will study the following subjects: facial treatments, including cleanse, tone, massage and masks; selecting appropriate products for skin care; skin diseases and disorders; lash and brow tinting; light beauty makeup; manicure and pedicure including specialised hand and foot treatments; waxing, sugaring, bleaching; related anatomy and physiology, including bones, muscles, the cell, the circulatory system, the lymphatic system, the nails and hair; cosmetic science; business studies and professional conduct. You will be taught by practising professional tutors who specialise in beauty therapy. Your tutor will monitor your progress throughout the year and deal with any problems that arise. In addition to the course fee, exam fee, and salon charge (if applicable), you will also need to purchase a beauty kit, uniform, shoes, and textbook (approx £280) and optional waxing kit (approx £60).

How will I be assessed?
Course assessment will consist of the following: 1) Case studies: You will have to complete case studies at home which will be handed to your tutor for marking. The case studies will consist of 5 different clients to be treated for full facials, manicure/pedicure, makeup and waxing of all areas. 2) Examinations: 5 one-hour multiple choice theory examinations and a half-day of practical and makeup examination.
