'' The course is held in the makeup studio and you will learn through a combination of demonstrations, workshops, lectures, video and a course booklet. The course is taught by a professional makeup artist working in the fashion and media industries. The techniques demonstrated throughout the course will relate to current trends used in promotional makeup. You will learn working with models and the media industries, makeup artist’s box contents, editorial and promotional makeup, catwalk makeup, speed work, black and white makeup, strong makeup, adornment and accessories, blocking out eyebrows and use of gold leaf and stencils. You will need to provide your own writing materials and a camera to record your work, and you may wish to purchase an optional makeup kit by MAC for £150. The college will supply course notes and skincare and makeup products.
