'' The lecturers employ modern teaching methods and materials. A minimum of 16 students is necessary to run the course. This course is for those who already have some skill in Arabic (typically one year previous study). We may ask you to do a quick assessment at the beginning to make sure you have enough Arabic to cope with the course. The course builds on existing language work, developing your skills in reading and writing as well as speaking and listening. The materials used will increase your understanding of the country and culture.

Assessment is by means of exams in June.

If you pass 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, you may go on to the A Level programme at West Thames College and, if you wish, continue studying Arabic at A Level.
