Training Course:Rules for Construction of Nuclear Facility ComponentsSchool/Trainer:American Society of Mechanical Engineers HOUSTON, NEW ORLEANS, SAN FRANCISCO, UNITED STATES
Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' This course is an overview of Section III, Division 1 and is intended to assist technical organizations, utilities, equipment and material manufacturers, installers and insurance companies in the understanding of the Nuclear Code. This course blends the technical and administrative requirements that form the basis for the Section III Quality Systems.
Because so many purchase orders today call for components and materials to earlier code Editions and Addendas, the course provides a historical review of the many changes leading to the current Edition. It is not an in-depth course in design, fabrication, inspection, quality assurance, or other technical requirements.
The lecturer’s notes will also include additional supporting material, including excerpts of the 2004 and earlier editions of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Division 1. Section III, Divisions 2 and 3 and Commercial Grade Dedication will be briefly discussed, and a number of Case Histories will be presented to show how to utilize the Code for solving specific problems.
