'' The Americans With Disabilities Act(ADA) requires employers with 15 or more employees to provide qualified individuals with disabilities an equal opportunity to benefit from the full range of employment-related opportunities available to others. The ADA prohibits discrimination in recruitment, hiring, training, promotions, pay, social activities, and other privileges of employment. The ADA also restricts questions that can be asked about an employee disability and requires employers to make certain reasonable accommodations. The ADA Training & Certification Program covers these specifics in detail and provides suggestions for avoiding ADA violations. The Program also reviews how to integrate ADA compliance with other applicable laws. Besides the basics, you will also learn how to: - Identify a mental or physical impairment that is an ADA disability - Know when disability-related inquires are appropriate - Offer and implement reasonable accommodations - Understand when an employer may require medical examinations.
Outcomes This course contains numerous End Of Lesson Quizzes to help you measure your progress and mastery of the materials. You can also earn a "Certified ADA Administrator" designation!
Besides the basics, you will also learn how to:

Certification tests are comprised of 50 randomly-generated questions that are mostly multiple choice, scenario-based questions that test the students ability to apply the learned content. A score of 85 or higher is required to earn Certification.
Note: The Certification Test is an optional feature that is included with the Program at no extra charge. Users who want the "Certificate" simply take the Test after completing the Training portion of the Program. Users who do not need or want a Certificate are not required to test. ...''
