Course Description:
'' Effective leaders and managers influence others through self-awareness and relationship. They are clear and open about what they want to accomplish and aware of the impact they have on others. They are skilled at understanding other perspectives, sensing others emotions, and reading political currents. They manage relationships well, motivate others, resolve disagreements, and move to action in collaboration with others.
Conscious leaders build constructive working relationships with people who see the world differently than they do, offering alternate perspectives and making valuable contributions to critical projects. They cultivate flexibility and integration of alternative perspectives in themselves and their teams.
Learning Environment
Each day is filled with invigorating, practical skill building. Students have the opportunity to contribute personal experiences in leadership and to learn from other students in a structured collective learning process. In-class activities include: short lectures, class discussion, self-assessment exercises, experiential personal and group activities, and personal feedback from the instructors and other class members.
