'' The Introduction to Cisco Cable Routers (ICCR) course is intended for customer technicians who need to implement varying setups of Cisco Cable Modem Termination Systems (CMTS) and deploy and/or design considerations in the Radio Frequency (RF) Cable network. Additionally, this course enables the engineers to better understand their customers needs and desires while being able to explain and configure various pieces of the Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) cable network. This course has overlapping focal areas on equipment needs. One module is designed for the uBR7200 CMTS and another for the uBR10000 CMTS.
Objectives After finishing this module, the student will be able to: Explain the basic RF Cable network concepts Setup and troubleshoot the DOCSIS Install, configure and troubleshoot the Cisco uBR 7100/7200 CMTS Install, configure and troubleshoot the Cisco uBR10012 Carrier Class CMTS Describe and implement the Cable Security Explain and deploy the PacketCable solution Describe the Digital Video (DV) networking concepts Importance The course is of utmost importance for all network engineers dealing with cable solutions since this is the only course covering the cable technology. Target Audience The course is targeted at network engineers and designers responsible for deploying cable network solutions.
