'' Education Foundations department offers Core Courses needed to inculcate the professional ethics and norms in the students through offering courses in philosophical, sociological, psychological foundations: curriculum and instruction, education research methods, measurement and evaluation.
OBJECTIVES
The general objectives of the department are:

To produce graduates in the areas of educational foundations with specialization in the professional areas of adult education, educational administration and supervision, guidance and counseling, and library studies.
To achieve a multiplier effect in science and technology by requiring the students to choose teaching subjects from the various departments of the institutions.
To produce graduates to teach education courses in the country’s teacher education institutions.
To produce graduates who can take administrative and supervisory positions in the country’s educational system.
To produce and service the core professional courses to meet the needs of all students in the faculty of education.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The basic qualification for admission of students through U.M.E., S.S.C.E, W.A.S.C., G.C.E. O’Level with five credits obtained in not more than two sittings. ...''
