'' This course is ideal to build on a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and to discover some of the more advanced features. This course, in conjunction with our fundamentals course covers the required syllabus for ECDL module 4 and Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Core certification.

A working knowledge of Windows and Excel or attendance on the Microsoft Excel Fundamentals course

By the end of this course you will be able to:
Work with multiple sheets in a workbook including creating and editing calculations using data on different worksheets
Reference cells appropriately in order to work more efficiently in Excel
Use Lookup functions to lookup and extract information from and Excel list
Use simple mathematical, date, and financial functions
Work with the IF function in Excel to provide alternative results in a cell based on a condition
Work with the conditional formatting feature to apply alternative formatting based on a condition
Use Microsoft Excel database features to enter, sort, filter, subtotal and enter data in an Excel list
Work with graphical and imported objects
Protect a spreadsheet from un-authorised changes
Work with cell comments
Name cells and ranges of cells to simply calculations and functions
