Course Description:
'' Creating robust enterprise architectures for JavaTm 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EETm) applications requires a blueprint that allows for rapid growth. In addition to learning how to scale applications, participants in Architecting and Designing J2EETm Applications learn a series of guidelines on how to address flexibility, performance, security, and manageability issues. Through discussion groups, participants learn how to apply these guidelines using selected architectural strategies and design patterns to create J2EE applications.

Taken a course on the JavaTm programming language Working knowledge of distributed computing and communications concepts Experience developing Object-Oriented Analysis and Design and Design Rational Unified Process (RUP) models with UML Familiarity with J2EE technologyspecifications and client-server architecture
