'' The Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Impact Assessment is intended to provide Australian and overseas environmental professionals with an introductory understanding of the policies, procedures and techniques of environmental impact assessment through practically-oriented study. Practitioners in this area are required to have a clear understanding of the various procedures and activities involved in environmental impact assessment.
This Diploma is directed to the specific area of environmental assessment and assumes some knowledge of environmental science. Students who have completed the Postgraduate Certificate and who are then admitted into the Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Impact Assessment will be given 12 points credit for those units already completed, and will only be required to complete the remaining 12 points of the Postgraduate Diploma. Upon completing the Postgraduate Diploma students can apply to enter the Master of Science (Environmental Science).
