'' The purpose of this course is to learn and practice communication skills to transform conflict from destructive experiences to growth experiences and help a group change their relationships dynamically over time. You can use what you learn to improve your day-to-day interactions at work and at home. The course is targeted to those who want to develop cohesive working relationships with people they find difficult to deal with such as team members, sponsors, stakeholders, functional managers, customers, and vendors.

Program Details

The course introduces the Crunch-Pinch Model showing how to Grace Through Change when communications break down because of changes in needs, the environment, or a perceived conflict.

You can do the course at your own pace and you have access to your instructor and the course content for eight weeks.

For each module we use our online accelerated quality in learning model - Learn, Do, Check, Act. First you learn the step (the activity described in each module), next you do what you learned in your own environment, then you check in with your instructor by reporting what you experienced by doing what you learned in your own environment, and lastly you create your action plan of how you’re going to use what you just learned in your project management career.

In order to receive full credit for the course, you will need to record the date and time you took to do each activity and record this in your online learning schedule. You will also need to send all assignments to your online instructor along with a learning journal with the results of your activities and the action plans of your learning. In this journal, please also log the time you spent doing each activity.

We recommend you commit at least five hours per week to completing this course. You can complete the course in 20 hours (less than a week if you work five hours a day on it), or you can spread it out over a period of eight weeks. The activities though are based on trying out various communicating techniques in your own environment so it is recommended that you take the full eight weeks to work with the material.
