'' The end-to-end supply chain involves all the major activities of an organization, beginning with sourcing the item from global suppliers, then creating the goods or services, getting those to the customers and following up to ensure their satisfaction. This means there are multiple career entry points for challenging jobs in the supply chain. Candidates must like working with people and being part of teams. They must be self-motivated and willing to assume a great deal of responsibility early in their careers.
Specific job opportunities are available in business-to-business marketing, customer service, supply management, purchasing, transportation and logistics. Demand for graduates is strong, and salaries are very competitive. Previous Florida State University graduates have been hired by Target, Harris, CSX, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Pulte Homes, Norfolk Southern.
This concentration prepares students to excel in the future world of supply chain management by providing the student with the necessary skills to market and manage in dynamic organizations through an understanding of complex supply chains - from the suppliers to the final customer.
