Course Description:

'' For the first time in Australia, the Alliance Française de Sydney is offering students of a very young age the opportunity to learn French in an effective, fun and interactive way.

The learning of another language is a fantastic asset for our children growing up in a multicultural community. And we believe that the sooner they start, the easier it will be for them to develop their skills in a second language.

The target audience is the “Froggies�(friendly little frogs) that is, young children aged 3 to 11 years who have not yet been exposed to the formal learning of the French language.

The methodological and linguistic basis of our program has as its primary objectives:

To give the student the ability to express/communicate in French with the help of simple sentences and using a foundation of a maximum of 750 items.
Complementary to the local educational actions undertaken elsewhere by the teachers/parents, to participate in the psychomotor development of the child with the aid of songs, games, dances, drama activities, music and marionettes�
Stimulate oral production through gestures and movements, with the aim of progressively elaborating and assimilating �(essentially through movements of the body) a history in the French language and to be able to reiterate it freely with the aide of autonomous productions.
Stimulate through fun, interactive, rewarding and varied activities (generally 15 �20 minutes) developing two closely linked processes: “movement and memorisation�
