Course Description:

'' 1. To understand the basic concepts and vocabulary at an introductory or building block level that is fundamental to the APICS “Body Of Knowledge� The “Planning Hierarchy�will be introduced, which through this course and others hopefully to follow, will allow one to effectively evaluate and apply those principles integral to Materials Management and/or Supply Chain Management in the broadest sense of the terms.

2. To serve as a part of the preparation process for individuals desiring to pursue the APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), with the Basics of Supply Chain Management being the first segment in the national examination progression.

3. Both to encourage students to share the best and the less effective practices from their current work environment as it relates to the course content, and to provide a resource network to discuss and to explore pragmatic and results orientated approaches to the real life materials or production/inventory control issues one might face daily.

JIT, plus Performance Check
Training will be at the PDC center in Montrose. Participants will attend five hours per week for 12 weeks for a total of 40 hours of hands-on training. Enrollment is limited.
