'' This course will provide you the practical, in-depth, real world, understanding to leverage your C++, Java or other OO programming experience to help you to quickly come up to speed on C# and the .NET 2.0 Framework. We will provide an overview of the C# language including the C# 2.0 specific enhancements to the language, then focus heavily on core concepts and features of the .NET 2.0 Framework using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.
Course Technology This course uses Microsoft Windows XP, the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework, and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. At the end of the course, you will be able to: Implement value and reference types by using C# Use the features of the C# language that support object oriented programming Implement simple Windows Forms-based and ASP.NET-based applications Use library classes to create and manage strings, arrays, and collections, including generics Use delegates and events to implement observer and event design patterns Describe how .NET garbage collection works and control how memory and other resources are managed in the .NET Framework Use .NET types that allow synchronous reading from and writing to backing stores, such as strings and files Program the basic request/response model to send and receive data over the Internet Serialize and deserialize object graphs using binary and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) XML format Implement distributed architectures by using XML Web services and .NET Remoting Deploy multiple versions of a .NET library or application for side-by-side execution Use versioning to manage component library upgrade paths Each class is carefully tailored to student needs and abilities. We allow students to choose from optional topics provided in our courseware to cover during class time. In these modules, you will learn how to: Write multithreaded applications Interoperate with your existing DLLs and COM components Access your data with ADO.NET Implement custom attributes
