Training Course:

Microsoft Office Project 2003

School/Trainer:

IIL CANADA
Fredericton, Toronto, Canada

Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced

Course Description:

'' This course is designed to check up on your day-to-day scheduling to make sure you are using the best practices of scheduling with Project 2003. These best practices have been established by IIL through evaluating and certifying over 1,000 real-life schedules. Course content is restricted to modeling and managing a single project in Microsoft® Project Professional. Good scheduling practices of single projects are needed to advance to multi-project scheduling (Blue Belt).

Note: Attending the Orange Belt course is a mandatory pre-requisite for attending the Blue and Black Belt courses.

Who Should Attend
Orange Belt is designed for individuals who use MS Project regularly, including those who use it on a day-to-day basis: project schedulers, project team members, project managers, project controllers, project control officers, and project engineers. Participants do not need to be White Belt certified to attend Orange Belt, but they must have managed at least one project with MS Project.

What You Will Learn
You’ll learn how to:
Gain a thorough understanding of the Project 2003 user interface and its workings behind the screen
Create a valid and dynamic model of your project
Schedule with Project 2003 using best practices
Become an expert in optimizing the project plan
Create custom reports and views that meet the needs of stakeholders in your project
Efficiently update the schedule during project execution to continuously forecast the project end date and cost
Utilize the documented (and undocumented) shortcuts and features of Project 2003

IIL offers Orange Belt Certification.
The online certification exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions. After you attend the course, you should plan on 20 extra hours of study to pass the exam. The certificate demonstrates your ability to use best practices for modeling and managing a single project in Microsoft Project Professional 2003.
