'' The rapid development and convergence of information technology and telecommunications have been a mark of recent years. These factors have dramatically affected how business is conducted and decisions made. This unit considers approaches to business decision-making and the role of new technologies in these processes. There is a study of the regional systems for the provision of new technologies and the impact these technologies have on strategic planning. The unit focuses on whether the enterprise is using and controlling IT appropriately and assesses the impact of technology on competition, the effects of IT changes on organisational life, and the consequences of IT inspired change for individuals.
