'' Bush Regeneration
Four Saturday classes starting on the 18th October 2008 til 8th November 2008 from 8.30am ? 12.30pm plus a take home CD and workbook)
How does your garden grow? Is your plot harbouring potential weed escapes capable of
degrading local bushland? Maurice Wilson will teach you how to become a weed buster and
learn bush regeneration techniques that will enable you to create your own bushland paradise
or tackle weed infestations in local reserves.

Plant Identification
4th August to 20th November from 6pm to 8.30pm
In this program Hendrik Ferreira provides a thorough knowledge
of plant naming, classification and identification, as well as the
background botanical knowledge required for further studies
in horticulture.

Budding and Grafting
(5 lessons held fortnightly each Monday night from 5.30pm ? 9.00pm starting 21st July til 15 September (plus one optional Saturday excursion).
Have you ever wondered how hibiscus plants are grafted or how citrus trees are
budded? Learn the science behind this intriguing aspect of horticulture under
the guidance of Jo Roberts and get practice at perfecting your technique.

Lawn Care Made Easy
(8 lessons x 5.30pm ? 8.30pm)
This program runs 7th October ? 25th November 2008.
Learn the skills of a turf professional and watch your weeds turn
into a lawn your neighbours will envy. Learn about soil and how
to improve it and discover what turf grasses do well in our climate
and how to care for them. Bob Evans will guide you through this
program.

Propagation and Nursery Skills
(9 lessons x 5.30pm ? 9.00pm)
This program runs 7th October ? 2nd December 2008.
Learn skills of a professional nursery worker including how to collect
seed, germinate seeds, strike cuttings and pot plants in these fun,
hands on evening classes with Henry Schroeder.

Planting and Pruning
(9 lessons 5.30pm ? 8.30pm).
This program runs each Thursday from 24th July ? 18th September 2008.
Ideal for those gardeners who want to learn how to maintain their gardens in peak
condition, this class teaches you fundamental botany and helps you understand
the how and why of pruning. Robert Evans covers pruning and planting of roses,
native plants, hedges and other exotics as well as basic fruit tree pruning.
