'' Naturopathy is a holistic system of medicine based on the healing power of nature. Naturopaths strive to find the cause of disease by understanding the patient as a whole, focusing on all aspects of health. Naturopaths use a wide variety of therapies and techniques such as nutrition, herbal medicine and homeopathy.
There are two areas of focus in naturopathy: one is supporting the healing abilities of ones own body, and the other is empowering individuals to make lifestyle changes necessary for the best possible health. Naturopaths treat both acute and chronic conditions; their emphasis is on prevention of disease and patient education.

The Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy program covers a broad range of therapeutic modalities with emphasis on integrative academic and practical applications throughout the course. The focus is upon safe, ethical and evidence-based practice. Students will also complete the Diploma of Business Development. This course focuses on business marketing and advertising and includes legal requirements and financial planning.

Students will be required to attend practical placement.



Qualification & Recognition: On successful completion of the program, participants are eligible to receive the Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy and the Diploma of Business Development.
Graduates may be able to apply to gain professional association membership, professional insurance and provider numbers from health insurance companies allowing clients to claim rebates.

Currently Naturopaths are recognised by the Australian Natural Therapies Association (ANTA) and the Australian Naturopathic Practitioners Association (ANPA).



Recognition of Prior Learning & Credit Transfer: You will be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring your skills acquired through work or life experiences, or through qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. ATQF Qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by another Registered Training Organisation will be recognised by the Institute. Contact Holmesglen to obtain an information brochure.


Career Opportunities: Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy provides graduates with the advanced practical skills and academic knowledge required to establish and manage a private practice, work in multi-modality clinics with other complementary medical and allied healthcare providers, work in corporate settings and/or health retreats.
