'' Recommended Duration: 5 Days Version Enterprise COBOL. Also appropriate for shops running COBOL for OS/390 and VM, COBOL for MVS & VM, COBOL/370, VS COBOL II, COBOL for VSE, or any ANSI 85 COBOL. Benefits Students who complete this course will be able to write or maintain COBOL programs that do not require advanced capabilities of the language. The emphasis here is learning the basics of the language, along with developing program design skills using pseudocode. Audience Experienced programmers needing to learn COBOL an additional language. Entry level programmers learning COBOL as their first programming language. Prerequisites The student entering this course should have 3 months recent experience using ISPF/PDF especially the text editor and should be able to code JCL to run simple batch jobs or have completed an "TSO/ISPF on z/OS" and "z/OS JCL and Utilities" courses within the last 12 months. Some introduction to data processing concepts is also recommended.
