'' The objectives of this unit are to provide an appreciation of the social and psychological influences on how markets and managers behave, and thus, allow managers to understand and influence behaviour. It does this by reviewing the influences on behaviour (culture, social class, mass communication) and by showing how these factors are manifested in consumer attitudes, perceptions, and decision making. The unit encourages students to apply theoretical concepts to explain behaviour in a range of organisations, particularly their own.
