'' Follows on from Japanese 1 or its equivalent. For students confident of their knowledge of basic Japanese.
You will:
review basics of Japanese 1
read and write katakana
master the basics for travel in Japan and for answering stock questions to non-Japanese
become confident in ordering food, discussing likes and dislikes etc
learn how to make requests, deal with invitations and visiting people’s homes.
Required text: Japanese Language and People (Richard Smith et al., BBC, 1991). Covers chapters 6 to 10.
