Structure of the course:

This level covers written comprehension and expression in a particular area of studies, oral communication and expression. After finishing this course, the students will be able to go for higher studies. The advanced level of Italian is continued practicing the basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Opportunities are given to expand individual interests in reading materials and cultural items. Short stories, plays, essays, poetry and biographies are read, using a varied vocabulary. Italian is used extensively in class during discussions and role playing.

After completion of the course the student is guaranteed to:

Ø Use and understand the language and vocabulary used in the text.

Ø Speak, read and write with improved ability and expanded vocabulary.

Ø Understand and be understood by a native speaker.

Ø Translate from English to Italian to demonstrate grammatical skills.

Ø Acquire a greater understanding of the Italian culture..

Ø Formulate questions and answers based on material read or discussed

Ø Special Projects: Current events report, library research, and several other projects.
