'' Collision repair technicians are highly skilled members of a respected trade. Southeast Community College Collision Repair Technology Program was the first program in Nebraska to be Certified by NATEF National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation. The Auto Collision Repair Technology Program has been supplying technicians since 1946. The collision repair program at SCC is designed to develop entry level skills in areas such as basic metal repair, welding, refinishing, structural repair, estimating, and mechanical & electrical repair.
Following Graduation of the Auto Collision Repair Technology Program, the student has opportunities in the following career areas: Collision Repair Technician, Automotove and Truck Refinish & Prep Technician, Insurance Appraiser/Estimator, Structural Repair Technician, Sales Representative, Aviation Refinish & Prep Technician, Auto Restoration/Street Rod Technician.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overview The Collision Repair Technology Program is a six quarter (18 month) program. The program is a hands-on based training process; students will work on projects that they repair to a pre-accident condition. The students have the opportunity to work on their own vehicle if it fits in the training program.
Upon successful completion of the program the student will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science Degree.
