'' This short course will give you a basic understanding of the wonderful art of lino cutting, a form of relief printing. Using special tools you will learn how to cut the lino sheet (which consists mostly of rubber) to your design. Starting from scratch we will design our print and take it through all the stages to printing a small edition as either a greeting card or gift print. Printed in black ink these prints can be hand painted and framed. Please note that lino cutting needs a firm hand and some effort. Participants will need to bring their own selection of coloured paper to print on. Extra costs for tools and lino advised when you register. ...''
