Prerequisites Student must have an understanding of Internet functionality and fairly extensive experience with HTML. Before commencing students should also have an understanding of database and SQL basics. Students must first have completed ColdFusion: Creating Database-driven Web Sites, Level 1.
Outline This course is an introduction to the syntax, functions, tags, and possible development solutions you are likely to encounter as you begin to develop ColdFusion applications.
Objectives Create dynamic tables to output query results, apply date functions to create a date stamp, and implement a drill-down application.
Create an application that updates existing database records and records the date and time of modifications.
Create an application that inserts new records and another that deletes existing records.
Enable form field validation with a variety of methods, and re-populate a form with submitted data.
Create a keyword search application that can handle a variety of user criteria.
