'' The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy aims to develop IT-enabled certified public accountants (CPAs) who are well-versed in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as applied to the global and local perspective. Graduates shall be competent in theoretical and practical skills related to accounting information systems, business law and legal management, applied economics and management consulting. The curriculum will include business budgeting, auditing and a comprehensive seminar on contemporary issues related to accounting practice and established ethical standards.
The BSA Course uses a multi-disciplinary, three-pronged approach toward the development of accounting graduates. The course seeks to help future managers build competencies in the following areas: BROAD BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE COMPETENCIES-- relates to the context in which accounting professionals perform their services, PERSONAL COMPETENCIES-- relates to the attitudes and behaviours of individuals preparing to join the accounting profession and FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES-- relates to the technical competencies which are most closely aligned with the values contributed by accounting professionals. ...''
