'' This qualification will provide you with the entry level skills and knowledge to work in the radio broadcasting industry. You will develop knowledge of the radio broadcasting industry and learn how to carry out health, safety and security procedures relevant to the radio industry. Depending on your choice of units, you will learn about collectiing information, sound recording, sound editing and/or operational skills.

This qualification presents a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to perform a range of tasks in the Broadcasting (Radio) Industry. It will assist young people to gain skills, tools, confidence and experience relating to radio broadcasting, recording and editing of music.
It will involve the use of sound equipment, radio broadcasting equipment, audio editing software and computers, and digital recording devices. Some possible projects that the students may produce include, a series of radio commercials, and recording a feature program for radio - the topic, content and style to be determined by the students.
