'' This skill set of four units focuses on competency-based assessment in the workplace. It covers all aspects of assessment, including preparing assessment plans, developing assessment tools, assessing individuals and reviewing to check effectiveness.

Learning Outcomes

Determining scope of assessment, identifying standards and developing tools to match
Preparing a plan to show how the individual needs of person/s to be assessed can be supported, including learning and assessment and assessment-only pathways...
Adapting the plan to suit the characteristics of those being assessed.
Identifying organisational requirements, including reporting and recording.
Review planning, assessment tool development and implementation as part of the validation process.
How will I be assessed?
Participants will prepare and develop assessment plans, assess competence through a series of assessments conducted in the workplace. They will also develop and trial assessments tools and use evaluation methods to validate them for continuous improvement.

Please note that participants will be required to interpret Units of Competence used in National Training Packages to be deemed competent in the unit “Develop assessment tools��however, if assessment tools are already prepared in the workplace, assessments can be negotiated.

A nationally recognised statement of attainment will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.
