'' This qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to design and produce complex garments and ensure that safety and quality standards are met. You will learn skills that will enable you to construct complex patterns, estimate costs for fashion products, develop and present design concepts and produce fashion illustrations. You will learn about advanced constructiion techniques and product specifications.
Students attend the College four days per week. Classes are held at the Visage Fashion studio located on the corner of Cliff St and Philimore St in the West End of Fremantle. The studio is fully equipped with the latest industrial sewing machines, overlockers, buttonhole machines and all of the support equipment required to design and produce fashion garments. The central location will allow students to interact with the Fremantle fashion industry, providing mentoring, work experience and the opportunity to undertake short manufacturing runs.
