Course Long Description:
Do you need to know how to recognise an anaphylactic reaction and, if necessary, follow established protocols to administer adrenaline using an Epipen. This course is suitable for people who have a duty of care to persons at risk and for anyone else who would like to raise their awareness of a problem that is on the increase.

Objectives:
1. Gain a basic understanding of the recognitition, prevention and management of anaphylaxis

2. Gain an understanding of the mechanisms of anaphylaxis

3. Identify the triggers for anaphylaxis and how to minimise exposure

4. Recognise anaphylaxis

5. Perform First Aid for anaphylaxis including the use of an Epipen

6. How to develop a management plan
