'' Qualification focuses on the skills that would prepare a person to perform in a defined range of activities most of which may be routine and predictable within the furniture industry. These include preparatory access/participation skills, broad-based induction skills and/or specific workplace skills. Specific target client group includes secondary school students.
This program is designed to provide relevant pre-entry vocational skills for students who wish to gain employment as an apprentice, trainee or production worker in the cabinet making, wood machining or furniture finisher industry. Upon completion of this program students may submit an application to the teaching team requesting a continuation of their studies in additional Furnishing competencies. This is not an apprenticeship or traineeship.

Successful completion of year 10, mature age or equivalent is recommended.
