'' This qualification is designed to provide training in planning, designing, installing and maintaining of below ground sanitary and stormwater drainage systems. The course covers installing, maintaining, testing and repairing of pipes in storm water or sanitary drainage, and installation of domestic treatment plants.

Entry requirements Completion of Year 10 is desirable. Completion of a pre vocational course and/or pre apprenticeship course in plumbing would be an advantage.
Any person who has the minimum requirements under the appropriate plumbing and draining Act but who has not satisfied the Board’s requirement for the issue of a Drainer’s License.
