'' On successful completion of 39140QLD Certificate IV in Plumbing Engineering Hydraulic Services, learners will be able to: Demonstrate understanding of a broad knowledge base incorporating some theoretical concepts; Apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable situations; Identify and apply skill and knowledge areas to a wide variety of contexts with depth in some areas.
This program provides training for persons seeking employment as paraprofessionals in the hydraulics field of the Building Industry. 39140QLD has been designed as off-the-job pathways to develop higher level plumbing and services skills complemented by the ability to apply these skills in the workplace or through vocational placement.

Entry requirements Entrants wishing to enrol must satisfy at least one of the the following requirements: Possess year 12 English or equivalent OR have successfully completed an apprenticeship in plumbingOR possess qualifications and/or experience which are indicative of success, including mature age entry for workers wishing to enter into formal training.
To receive the qualification 39140QLD Cert IV in Plumbing Engineering Hydraulic Services students must successfully complete:
- 19 core units of competency
- a minimum of 80 hours of electives as specified
Nominal Hours 720 hours (supervised) and 80 hours (unsupervised)
Career possibilities This course prepares graduates for a career pathway to: Mid level management positions or trainee supervisory positions. Also employement in Construction Hydraulics field of Building Industry
