'' This course covers a comprehensive range of issues to equip people to deal with the ongoing care for those who
need it in a remote or wilderness area. The course is suitable for those who work in the Outdoor Recreation
Environment, both professional and volunteers.
On completion, successful participants will have an understanding of the principles and limitations of remote area
first aid. They will have the ability to improvise, adapt and overcome difficulties in managing the patient.
On successful completion of this course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally
recognised unit of competency.
