RTA has identified the need to improve the awareness and understanding of Load Restraint Issues, including the development of the new Load Restraint Guide. Presentation 1 is the first in a series of 8 presentations regarding Load Restraint and Load Restraint Guide.
The aim of this presentation is to highlight the importance of Load Restraint Issues as they apply to the Transport Industry. This presentation focuses on the importance of restraining a load on a vehicle.
PRE-REQUISITES
For all levels of management and drivers within the Transport Industry.
DURATION
3-4 hours consisting of a number of presentations supported by a multimedia presentation package and a participants work book.
The multimedia presentation contains the video, audio, animations and real life case studies. Where possible a copy of the new Load Restraint Guide would also be available.
QUALIFICATION GAINED
The importance of restraining a load of a vehicle, load restraint awareness, introduction of the load restraint guide, general principles of load restraint, arranging loads on a vehicle, restraining loads on a vehicle, driving a laden vehicle, and loads.
