'' This 40-hour course introduces students toWeb Server concepts and configuration files. During the course, ADO.Net objects such as Connection, Command, DataReader, DataAdapter, DataView, DataSet and ASP.Net controls such as the DataGrid will be employed to develop Active Server Page applications. Validation controls will be covered in detail followed by user and server controls. ADO.Net will be used to specifically address the handling of data by controls with ASP.Net. Caching, Cookies, Session, State, Query Strings and Post Backs will also be covered. The course will also introduce professional report generation using Crystal Reports for the Web. IIS (Internet Information Services) will be used for the creation of virtual directories with ASP.Net. Also, students will be introduced to a variety of advanced topics that range from E-Commerce Shopping Carts to Portals using ASP.Net, ASP.Net AJAX and ADO.Net. Upon completion of this course student s will be able to design and develop ASP.Net Applications as well to make sound decisions as to processing location (Server Site vs. Client Site) and will possess the skills necessary to code these processes.
