Course Description:

'' This 40-hour course introduces students to SOAP, DISCO, UDDI and WSDL. Students will develop Web Services using data types and passing DataSets, as well as create multiple services. Students will explore ways to incorporate existing Web Services into new applications and learn how to register them properly on the Internet. Students will learn how to implement ADO.Net objects such as Connection, Command, DataReader, DataAdapter, DataView and DataSet. Students will be introduced to XML in Visual Studio .Net, XML in the .Net Framework, reading and writing XML Streams, Transforming, Searching XML and valid XML. Students will also learn how to use Web Services within ASP.Net. IIS (Internet Information Services) will be addressed for the creation of virtual directories for use with .Net Web Services. Additional advanced topics include Transactions with ADO.Net & SQL Server and publishing Crystal Reports using .Net Web Services. Students will see how to build distributed applications with a Windows client, a WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) hosted middle-tier and a data access layer that used LINQ to SQL N-Tier Smart Client Database Transactions. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to generate functional Web Distributed Business Service applications, design and develop N-Tier Client / Server Systems Applications, use XML with .Net and understand the differences between connected and disconnected objects in ADO.Net.
