'' This 40-hour course introduces students to the Visual Studio.Net, Visual Basic.Net and C#.Net Integrated Development Environments (IDEs). Students will learn how to work with controls and their properties, as well programming methods and events. Coding conventions and code structure as well as acceptable levels of documentation will be employed in all applications. Debugging techniques are demonstrated so students will learn to trace programs and track down errors. Runtime error processing and simple object building techniques are also introduced as well as designing and developing professional menu driven applications. Students will be introduced to the .Net Framework Base Class Library, and also use classes and structures referencing controls within the .Net environment. Students will also be initiated to ADO.Net, ASP.Net, XML.Net, Web Services, VSTO (Visual Studio Tools Office) & WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) and IIS (Internet Infor mation Services).
