'' When parties who are unable to resolve their conflict choose to pursue a remedy in court, there are two inescapable facts: there will be inevitable delays, and it will be expensive. An increasingly popular option that overcomes these disadvantages is Alternative Dispute Resolution; mediation is an important part of this process. This course will cover, among other things, techniques that are used by a third-party mediator that may be employed to help opposing sides reach an acceptable settlement. Focus will be on both family and labour disputes.
