'' The first part of this on-line course is designed to familiarize students with the preparation required for a small business to successfully import or export. The second part examines the main steps involved in starting out and progressing in international markets. Principal subjects covered in the first part of the course are: the world trading environment, the drafting of an export/import business plan and export and import processes and rules affecting international trade. In the second part of the course, the principal subjects will be logistics and distribution, negotiating with foreign partners, trade programs, payment methods and short-term financing.
