'' Students will learn the fundamentals of sports writing and sports reporting for radio and television, with an emphasis on radio, as they relate to specific skills associated with sports casting and reporting. Students will be taught how to create and generate interesting, stimulating, entertaining, informative, creative and concise copy. At the same time, they will learn to plan their work effectively in order to deal with the tight deadlines that are often associated with sports writing and reporting �both on the desk, and in the field. The course will include, when possible, a field trip to a radio station and/or sporting event to view real-world work conditions.
