'' An 8-day residential course for senior adventure guides, outdoor instructors/educators, expedition leaders and doctors responsible for small and large groups on extended expeditions into remote and mountainous regions of the world. Includes a Wilderness First Aid Certificate plus more advanced medical techniques:
Defibrillation Search & rescue Communications Suturing wounds Pre-trip healthcare planning Medications and administering injections Eye examination and removal of foreign bodies The course is run in conjunction with General Practice Training Tasmania (GPTT). Trainers are doctors from GPTT and ambulance officers. Course fees include food and basic accommodation for 6 days.
