This course aims to give participants the skill and knowledge necessary to apply to become registered as a Telecommunications Cabler.
Pre-requisies: North and Northwest: No prior knowledge of the field is necessary. South: 600 hours of industry experience or 6 month of continuous cabling experience
Successful completion gains a Cable Provider Rules open registration recognized by the Australian Communications Authority (formerly Austel).
This registration entitles holders to connect cables and telecommunications equipment to carriers networks e.g. Telstra & Optus.
Equipment includes telephone Systems and computer networks.
