'' Technical assistants undertake a wide range of sampling and testing according to established procedures, requiring the application of a broad technical knowledge and some scientific knowledge. They form part of the quality assurance team in the laboratory but could assist other personnel in the workplace with technical problems such as adjusting formulations. They may also assist shift operators to undertake samples collection or perform basic testing to the standard required.
