Course Description:
'' These training programs are competencies from the Metals and Engineering national competency standards and may count towards any of the qualifications contained in the MEM98 training package. The hydraulics training includes basic principles, storage devices, pumps, filters, valves, actuators, hoses, pipes, fittings, basic circuits. The pneumatics training includes basic principles, compressors, filters, valves, actuators, air service equipment fluid conductors, and introduction to circuitry.
Designed to complement previous or current Trade training. It is aimed at people involved with the Fluid Power Industry or looking to gain employment within the area of hydraulic and Pneumatics.
Competency based training and can be available on a full-time, part-time or flexible delivery. Assessment of competency may be achieved off-the-job, on-the-job or a combination of on/off the job. Full competency in some subjects can only be gained by demonstration of skill in the workplace.
