'' Security Guards or Security agents who wish to carry handguns as part of their duties must apply to Tasmania Police for a category H6 firearms licence.
Applicants must provide Tasmania Police with good reason for the granting of such a licence. If the police approve the application they will provide written authority to enrol on a security industry firearms handling course, a copy of which must be forwarded to TAFE Tasmania with an enrolment form.
